Criminal Defense Experience
Bruce Bridgman speaks of his many years of experience in the area of criminal law.
There is no substitute for experience. When you look for a criminal lawyer you want someone who has read about it, you want someone who has done it, you want someone who has been out to the crime scene and been with the police and knows what to look for. You want somebody who knows the rules of evidence. You want somebody who can dig into a case and knows how to find mistakes and technical issues that can make a difference. You also want someone who is realistic with you and will tell you when you have a good case, what your strategy should be and the different options that you have available. With criminal cases there are three things that can be done—one is, you can argue the facts, two, you can look for technical mistakes like the suppression rule and having evidence suppressed and the third is, you can find reasons why ever if a person is guilty this person should receive mitigation or consideration in the sentencing – these are things that a skilled criminal lawyer can do.
